Sringeri
Sringeri is very famous for it's temple and is one of the peethas setup by Adi Shankara foremost proponent of Advaita Philosophy.
It is situated on the bank of Thunga river and here the fishing is forbidden in the premises of the temple.
Here, the fishes are so active that it virtually comes to the bank of the river if you offer the biscuits/cookies to them.
What we like most here in Sringeri is the food that is offerred ! It'll be really delicious..served at the kitchen of the temple.
